Holiday Service Guarantees (GSR) – 2015

Fall is upon us – which means the holidays are not too far behind!  USUALLY, each package you send out is guaranteed on time or it’s free, but the holidays have their own set of rules regarding GSRs.  Here are some of the rules you need to know.

FedEx money-back guarantee for on-time delivery for FedEx services will be suspended temporarily on November 26, 2015 and from December 18 – December 24 for shipments that reach recipients within 90 minutes of scheduled commitment time.

FedEx Ground scheduled for delivery the day after Thanksgiving will be scheduled for delivery that day ONLY IF the recipient business is open.  Regardless, delivery commitment will be extended to next business day for the application of money-back guarantee.

The money-back guarantee for FedEx Ground Delivery will be suspended temporarily for packages tendered during 14 calendar days (December 11-24) before Christmas.


The UPS Money Back Guarantee has a few exceptions to its normal terms throughout the holiday season.

UPS Air and international Air packages picked up or delivered within the United States are guaranteed throughout the holiday season. Commitment times for Air and International Air packages delivered within the United States will be extended by 90 minutes on the following days: November 27, December 18-24, and December 31.

The guarantee is suspended for UPS Ground and UPS Standard packages picked up or scheduled for delivery between December 11 and December 24.
