2017 FedEx Holiday Fees and Closures

FedEx recently sent out an email to account holders to remind users that FedEx is not adding additional holiday residential surcharges as UPS is doing.  However, there will be increased charges on Additional Handling, Oversize and Ground Unauthorized Surcharges during the holiday season to express and ground packages. Here are the 2017 FedEx holiday fees and closures your company needs to know.

You can expect to see these additional charges from November 20 to December 24, 2017. Additional handling will increase by $3 to $14 total. Ground unauthorized package charges will increase by $300 per package to $415. Oversize charges will increase $25 to a total of $97.50 per package.

In addition to these extra holiday surcharges, effective January 1, 2018, there will be more FedEx Express and FedEx Ground additional fees. Surcharges are on the rise! As a result of these additional fees, your FedEx spend for 2018 is going to rise.
