2016 FedEx Holiday Shipping Guarantees

The money-back guarantee for some of FedEx services has changed for this holiday season. Make sure to review the new terms, especially FedEx Ground and Home Delivery!!

HERE’S A LINK TO 2017 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE AND CLOSURES. 

FedEx Ground
Packages tendered to FedEx Ground for delivery on the day after Thanksgiving will be scheduled for delivery on that day if the recipient business is open, but in any event, the delivery commitment will be extended to the next business day for application of the money-back guarantee.

Here is the biggest change you need to be aware of: The money-back guarantee for FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery services will be suspended temporarily for packages picked up on Monday, November 28, through Saturday, December 24, 2016.

Any Ground or Home Delivery package you send between November 28th and December 24 is not guaranteed to arrive by any certain day. FedEx will not guarantee delivery for all holiday packages, so if you want a guarantee you must use the more expensive FedEx Express services or UPS Ground.

FedEx Express
The FedEx Money-Back Guarantee will be suspended temporarily on the following dates:
•Wednesday, November 23, 2016, for shipments that are delivered within 90 minutes of the published delivery commitment time.
•Monday, December 19, through Saturday, December 24, 2016, for shipments that are delivered on the published delivery commitment date.

Last year there was an additional 90 minutes added to express commitment times for the week before Christmas, this year FedEx is giving themselves the whole day!
