What is FedEx One Rate flat rate shipping?

By Last updated on: April 21, 2026

FedEx One Rate is a flat rate shipping pricing option that more large-volume shippers are exploring. FedEx One Rate was introduced in 2013 and is available for qualifying FedEx Express U.S. shipments in FedEx Express packaging. One Rate pricing is an alternative to FedEx Standard List Rates, account-specific rates, or FedEx Retail Rates.

With One Rate pricing, key surcharges such as residential delivery, Delivery Area Surcharges (DAS), and fuel are included in the base rate. However, additional charges may still apply, including on-call pickup, Saturday delivery, signature options, declared value, and address correction fees.

To qualify, shipments must use FedEx Express packaging and eligible FedEx Express services, including:

  • FedEx First Overnight
  • FedEx Priority Overnight
  • FedEx Standard Overnight
  • FedEx 2Day A.M.
  • FedEx 2Day
  • FedEx Express Saver

Weight limits also apply:

  • Paks, boxes, and tubes: up to 50 lbs.
  • Envelopes: up to 10 lbs.
