Every shipper is different, so knowing all the options available to busy UPS shippers is helpful. UPS is the only carrier that can pick up all package types (Ground, Air, and International) with a single driver and charges per pick-up, not per package.

Smart Pick-up
Process a shipment using WorldShip, UPS Internet Shipping, or UPS CampusShip before a designated notification time, and a UPS driver will automatically pick it up. This is a convenient option that provides excellent value because you only get pick-ups on days you have packages to ship.
The cost is $18.00 per week. If a package is processed too late in the day to notify the UPS driver to pick up your parcel the same day, you can schedule a Smart Pick-up for the following day, request a UPS On-Call Pickup®, or find a UPS location to drop off your shipment. Smart Pick-up is available to UPS account holders for all UPS services from any validated pick-up location in the U.S. The Smart Pick-up notification time is generally one hour before your scheduled pick-up time.
Automatically arrange a pickup only when you have packages to ship. A UPS driver will attempt a pickup the same business day when a package is tendered before a predetermined cut-off time. Day-Specific UPS pickup option
Pre-select up to 4 specific business days, Monday through Friday, each week for a UPS driver to pick up shipments. Best for businesses that ship only on particular days. If you have a Day-Specific Pick-up that falls on a scheduled UPS holiday, UPS will automatically set up a scheduled pick-up for the next UPS business day.

Daily On-Route Pick-up
Even if you’re not receiving any packages, a driver will attempt a pick-up at your location every business day while making deliveries in your area. This UPS pick-up option is best for businesses that want the convenience of an automatic daily pick-up but can be flexible on pick-up times.
A UPS driver attempts a pickup at your location once each business day while making deliveries in your area, even if there are no packages delivered at your location. Pickups typically occur between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Daily Pick-up
This UPS pickup option is best for customers who ship daily and require an automatic pick-up time. Pick-up is available five days a week, within a specific time window. A UPS driver may visit without checking the status of any shipments or providing prior notification. This is available for all UPS services, to and from all UPS destinations, Monday through Friday, excluding UPS holidays.

UPS On-Call Pick-up
A UPS pick-up option for infrequent shippers who do not need a scheduled pick-up service may schedule a shipment pick-up on the same or a future day. Traveling business users can request a pick-up at a location other than their customarily scheduled location. Or customers who do not have scheduled pick-up service.
No matter how many packages you have, this UPS pick-up option fee is only applied once per pick-up request. A residential surcharge will be added if the pick-up occurs at a residential location, and an area surcharge will apply if the pick-up occurs at a residence that UPS designates as rural, remote, or extended.

Saturday UPS Pickup Options
Another available UPS pickup option is a UPS Saturday pick-up, or Saturday Air Processing Fee. Shippers can get the same delivery commitment as a package shipped on a Friday. Saturday Pick-up includes packages tendered to UPS and packages dropped off at retail locations on Saturday. Saturday Delivery and Saturday pick-up are only available for UPS 3-Day Select, UPS Ground, and UPS Ground with Freight Pricing services in select areas.
